Tractor-Trailer Overturns Closing Ramp From Rt. 30 To Rt. 222 In Lancaster, Say Police

An overturned tractor-trailer on the ramp for Route 30 to Route 222 in Lancaster County closed the roadway for hours Wednesday morning, say Manheim Township police.

The tractor-trailer carrying building supplies was in a single vehicle rollover-- while on the ramp-- around 6:30 a.m., according to police.

A tow-truck arrived at the scene around 7:30 a.m., according to dispatch.

All Route 30 East traffic intending to go north on Route 222 was diverted to the next interchange at New Holland Pike, say police. 

The ramp was closed for nearly three hours, while emergency crews cleaned up the scene, according to dispatch.

Traffic delays continued in the area around 10 a.m., and police continue to ask drivers to consider alternative routes.
